I am Christine Hautala, a qualified early childhood educator, native English speaker and mom of two boys (ages 14 and 3) with nearly 10 years of experience in early childhood education in both English and Finnish daycares.
I am offering private in-home child care in English from my own home in Siltamäki, Helsinki (northern Helsinki just under 8km from the airport).
I have a loving child-centered approach when working with early years. My language-rich lessons are supplemented by using books and singing as tools in my teaching.
My idea of wholesome days with children includes learning while playing in a relaxed atmosphere, adventures in nature, visiting local playgrounds, and doing occasional educational excursions. Every moment of the day can be a learning opportunity! Running a small group ensures that I can give quality time to every child in my care.
